Log Changes

I put the log changes into the form that Kim in Traffic had requested.

Board-Operators

I completed employment agreements with new board operators and discussed shift changes with present board operators. I prepared and conducted a board operators meeting on Thursday evening to discuss the goals and direction for KOL.

Production

I had to spend a certain amount of time doing production this week.  Dennis Sanchez needed two new spots produced, and I also updated all of his bumper music for his weekend program.  In addition, the folks with “How to Keep More of Your Money” needed to have someone run the board as they recorded a back-up program.  I also did the production for “The Pulse of Puget Sound”, our public affairs program.

Weekend Programming

Upon reviewing other Salem stations weekend programming I determined that we are not too different from most of the others.  There are a few that are more vigorous than others in the amount of paid programs, but they are fairly similar.  Where WE are really in need at this point is in the area of weekend religious programming.  It seems that the requirement to air religious programming from 6am to 10am is seldom adhered to. Since we have only one half hour of paid religious programs playing in that time block, we need to acquire more PAID religious programs or open it up for OTHER paid programs. In any case we need to make some decisions on our weekend programs, since we are eliminating the WOR programs starting NEXT weekend.
