KOL PROGRAMMING REPORT  03/09/07                next week's report

Log Changes

I made some minor changes to the weekday log to solve a couple of timing and consistency issues.

Board-Operators

I conducted our monthly Board Operators meeting.  I also had to do a little fill-in this week on a couple of shifts.

Production

I added some :15 second PSAs into our system, needed for timing with our Traffic Pulse news sponsorship spots, and I added some 2 minute features to our fill inventory.  We continued to eliminate some redundancy problems by adjusting our rejoin liners.  I also did some production to fix a couple of technical problems we had on the weekend.

Weekend Programming

The engineering changes for "Around the Home and More" did not work this past week. However, our engineers assure me that they have fixed the problem and I have tested the equipment to be sure that everything is operational for this week.  Also, we are losing programs on the weekend and we are starting to develop gaps in our line-up.  So their is a certain amount of urgency to approve the changes I have submitted.

Promotions

We are beginning to get names in for the "Listen at Work" promotion.  We should have enough names to start mentioning business names on the air early next week.

ARE WE GOING TO DO the "KOL Class Reunion"?  I have reserved the Alki Room at the Seattle Center for the event.  Everything is ready to go.  The cost is $820 (easily made in ticket sales).  It is a very do-able venue BUT we need to DECIDE in the next week or so.

News/Traffic

I talked to Gina Tuttle again this week about their "Metro Source" news service.  It is not a great service, however, anything done "in house" will need some type of service or a person dedicated to the task of gathering news.
