KOL PROGRAMMING REPORT  03/16/07

Log Changes

Log Changes submitted this week included weekend changes due to "Republican Radio" dropping and "best of" hours of Laura Ingraham and Dennis Prager were inserted for fill.  I also made changes to the log to allow for news/traffic to expand into the 5am and 6pm hours.

Board-Operators

We are still having difficulties getting Kronos to work properly so I can approve timecards.  I did, however, put together a system by which I can track hours and submit them to Wendy.  I talked to a couple of board-ops about tightening up their board work, and I am trying to put in more "monitoring" time.

Production

Some production time was spent on our "Listen at Work" promotion, but over-all it was a light production week.

Promotions

We began the "contest" phase of our "Listen at Work" promotion.  I also created a "contest form" for the website.  I am planning to have about a 3 week run for this promotion.  In order to continue sounding "active" we need to consider our next promotion.  Do you have any thoughts?  The Dennis Miller start will provide some "buzz" in this regard.  We should consider, however, a general audience promotion that will focus on drive time (or Dennis Miller) TSL.

From comments you made at our meeting I am ASSUMING that we will NOT be doing the "KOL Class Reunion" promotion.  Please let me know if this is not correct.

News/Traffic

The Traffic Pulse sponsorship is running more smoothly with programming tracking and reporting (rather than it going through traffic).  Since, however, this was to be a live read in our "in house" news, I am concerned that we are not doing this yet.  We are presently double dipping on Metro News.  We had a problem with Metro this week (totally missing a 3:00pm traffic AND newscast) and I talked to Gina Tuttle about this.  Also after reviewing the Metro News Source service (news copy provided to stations as an alternative to AP or other such services) I have determined it is insufficient as a service.
