KOL PROGRAMMING REPORT  02/09/07                next week's report

Rick Richardson

I tried to stay in maintenance mode this week, waiting for our new GM.

Log Changes

Log changes submitted this week are for weekdays 12:00am to 2:00am.  Up till this point we were running Roy Masters program without anything but a legal ID.  These changes add commercial avails, but more importantly create places for station promos and call mentions.

Board-Operators

I conducted our second board operators meeting (we will have monthly meetings for now). I began our news writing assignments this week, trained our new board operators, and reassigned duties.

Production

Again, I did more production than normal this week.  Doing most of the weekly tasks done by the evening board op, (they were trained in these duties this week and will take them over next week).  I had the engineers install an ftp program on my computer, enabling me to update the website from my office computer (rather than from home).

Weekend Programming

The folks with "Around the Home and More" are not ready to send their show to other stations.  I will meet with Kevin this week to help him get ready for this.  I talked with Wendy Meister from "Weekends Around the Northwest" to discuss promotional tie-ins with the station and audience building for her show.  I will talk with her again next week.

Promotions

We SHOULD have everything ready to go for our "Listen at Work" promotion next week.  The "KOL Class Reunion" event is in need of a venue.

Other

I did some experimenting this week and discovered deficiencies in our delay/dump system and silence alarm for KOL and have alerted the engineers to the problems.
